i was sad on the day i got my posting to bowen.
but God knew what was best for me =)

sec 3 express geography fieldtrip to surang buaya. this is class 3E4 which consists of a very pleasant bunch of kids, playful and cheeky, but helpful and nice.

fat me, my mentor jessica, and fellow geography colleague ida. we are surrounded by dragonfruits grown in the organic way =)
so i spent 4 happy months teaching in bowen. though i must admit that the first few weeks were spent crying miserably at night while my first taste of examination marking was a really bitter experience. i was looking forward to another half a year of teaching sec 1 e/n(a) geography and, gulp, sec 4 n(a) english, when my nie letter come unexpectedly.
its funny how these highly important letters are, however, prone to arrive at the very last minute. i think my other contract teaching colleague, sean, has gotten his too, only kodi hasn't received hers. ironically, kodi was the earliest to have been posted to bowen amongst us three. i guess it's got something to do with the subjects that we're doing for the january intake. oh well.
nie means it's back to studying again. i like. =D
nie also means ulu boon lay hill, which is a good 2.5 to 3 hour journey from my place during morning rush hour traffic. yikes. i've applied for hall instead, and should be sharing a room with xiaoyun. i think i forsee us playing games into the wee hours of the nights though hehe.
plus i'll strive to lose weight in nie! =D
i will miss bowen.

colleagues sandra, suping, andrea and me posing for the camera during the staff dinner. singapore is indeed small, sandra was 3 years my senior in zhonghua, suping lived down my corridor in temasek hall, and andrea's dad and my uncle are colleagues in yckss. sean, the "hen-shuai-de-li-lao-shi" lurks behind, hehe.
